On Wednesday H.R .1700 was introduced to the new Congress. This bill is the same as a previous bill that asks for a place for an official National Women’s History Museum on the Mall in D.C. Right now, the NWHM provides “virtual” exhibits, online or in galleries, etc.
Please, please, please, use the easy forms to contact your representative, senator and even Mr. Prez himself to support this long-overdue endeavor.

The Sun and the warmth
March 20, 2009
I never really realized before how much those two things mean to me. When it’s Sunny and warm I am a happier person. I enjoy being able to go outside with no jacket on and just soak it up and feel a slight warm breeze on my cheek, that just tickles my soul. It’s ironic how I never realized how much it meant to me before. Now that I am a mom, I am learning to appreciate things more. Appreciate the little things. Whether it’s when my Alex tries to puts a puzzle together and needs a little help from me and I hear “momma help” or when Izzy is potty training and she’s just so proud of herself that she just going to burst into dance that it pours onto me to do it with her and be so excited. Or when Vinnie aka Chubba starts taking those steps he sucks in his breath and starts to giggle as he knows his momma is waiting in such anticipation and starts praising just a bit to soon “Go boy go baby you can do it” and he claps his hands with me and falls on his little Chubba butt and just laughs with glee. This is my sun and my warmth too. My kiddos. They make me so happy. Regardless of the temper tantrums, the lack of listening, and the craziness that they bring every single day. They are fabulous little creatures and as much as I complain I love them more and more each day. Even as I end this post, I can hear my little Chubba on the monitor saying “happy day, happy day”. I guess no matter how it came to be, how many struggles I have gone through and will go through, the sun and the warmth will always be with me.

10 hour days you’ll never take me alive!!!
March 12, 2009
mwuahahaha!
Okay. Yes you will make me insane. Make me want to run. Make me want to scream and shout. But you will not kill me. I am strong. I am a mother, and I am a woman! I can do this. No matter how many temper tantrums, no matter how many shitty diapers, no matter how many times they throw food at me, I will make it. I am doing this and I am doing it without the help of his parents. It makes me feel so good at the end of the day to know that I survived another day. Regardless of how many times I cried, yelled, sent girlies to the naughty step. I know at the end of the day they love me! And they know that I am doing the best that I can.
That trip at the end of April will totally be a well deserved break for me!
Then at the end of summer I WILL take the girls and I on a well deserved vacation! OC here we come!!
It will all be over May16th, but I know that if I can survive this, I will be able to do this in the future! YEP!
